DEACON BERNARD McCARTHY, PARISH DEACON
Deacon Bernard (Bernie) McCarthy comes to our parish from St. Teresa of Avila Parish and Notre Dame Mission in Whitehall and Twin Bridges, Montana. He is a native of Butte and worked for 25 years as the Clerk of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Montana in Butte, while living the last 20 years in Whitehall. He was ordained to the Office of Deacon on June 29, 2012, along with 16 other men, one of the largest ordination classes in Diocesan recent history. His work with the parishes includes working with the Parish and Finance Councils and assisting Father Beretta in the ministries of the parish. He is married to Helen Waldbillig McCarthy formerly of Philipsburg. They have two adult sons, Sean and Patrick.
SEANEEN PRENDERGAST, PASTORAL ASSISTANT
Seaneen has worked for our parishes since 1998. She coordinates all of our Religious Education, Sacramental Preparation, Lay Ministry, & Adult Faith Formation programs. She also does the upkeep on the parish website & Facebook pages and other various duties in the parish. She is the Co-Director of the Montana Tech Catholic Campus Ministry. She grew up in the Immaculate Conception Parish and through her father’s family has also been associated with St. Patrick Parish since the church was opened. She has an Accounting & Management Degree from Barnes Business College in Denver and is also a Certified Catechist. Seaneen is married to Pat Prendergast and has two adult children Kiley and Bill and three granddaughters Taylor, Kaya and Ellody.
PAM SHOLEY, OFFICE MANAGER
Pam has been a member of St. Patrick Parish since 2000. She is married to Steve Sholey and has five beautiful children and one grandson. Pam began volunteering in the Parish almost immediately. She is the Director of our very popular Vacation Bible School and a Religious Education Teacher. She is a graduate of Montana State University and has a degree in Elementary Education. Before joining our staff as the Office Manager, she taught at Butte Central Jr. High for the last five years and before that she spent twenty years educating in various early childhood facilities. She grew up in south eastern Wyoming and moved to Montana to attend MSU in the fall of 1987 and never left.
